Our field trip was a great success. We had a fantastic tour guide and everyone enjoyed the tour!
students did an amazing planning and setting up our Valentine's Day party! Thank you to all parents who donated food and drinks!
Yesterday our class made sundials and went outside several times to track the shadows. We even tracked student shadows and noticed to different locations of the sun.
In math, we explored geometry with tangrams. We challenged our tangrams skils with making a square out of all 7 pieces! Thursday we went outside and practiced our coordinate grid and scatterplot skills on the sidewalk with chalk. We planned our grids in the classroom first, then transferred them to the concrete. To wrap up the activity, each student was given a location to find on a human sized coordinate grid!
