We conducted several experiments to test the physical properties of various items last week. We also had a great time exploring science with a wonderful Watchdog Dad Mr. JT.
We folded origami grasshoppers and measured how far they "hopped". To begin our matter unit, we built floating and "sinking" boats to talk about physical properties. A physical property of paper is that it is less dense than water.
Students waited nervously for the first day of school. In math during the first week we worked cooperatively to solve a "How Many Squares" problem.

Mrs. ReynoldsI love sharing our math and science adventures. No two days are ever the same. Truly engaged children are motivated learners. Categories |
