We spent lots of time outside today creating sundials and tracing the changing shadow of a classmate. We also used flashlights in the classroom recreating the rotation of the Earth causing the sun to appear to rise in the east and set in the west. We saw long morning shadows shrink close to noon and stretch again in the afternoon.
